Introducing ASAP's FIRST HESA Student of the Month: Tyese Medford! Here is what Tyese wanted to share with you all about her experiences in the NYU HESA Masters Program so far:
"I chose NYU's HESA program because of the curriculum and the many experiences that are offered to NYU students. Outside of those major factors, NYU has always been my DREAM school! My favorite part of the program is having so many resources at my fingertips that are offered to help me be successful. Also just being in the city and experiencing not only everything NYU has to offer but everything the city has to offer! My internship is great! I work in NYU's Residential Life and Housing Services as the Residential Life Assistant for Leadership Development and Student Staff Selection. I am able to work hands on with the executive board of the Inter-Residence Hall Council (IRHC), they are such an outstanding group of students. They plan such amazing events such as Flurry (Ice Skating Event in Central Park) which just passed. I am also able to help with student staff selection, and that is a great feeling in itself, helping to hire next years resident advisors. I truly love my internship it is fast paced most of the time, which I enjoy, and I am so glad that we choose one another! My classes are great I am currently taking Internship Seminar, Foundations, and Campus Communities and Student Subcultures. I truly appreciate the experiences and knowledge that I am gaining from these courses." Tyese is a first-year, first semester graduate student in the program. Keep a look out for our HESA Student of the Month for December!
