Introducing ASAP's HESA Student of the Month for December: Ryan Grubbs! Here is what Ryan wanted to share with you all about his experiences in the NYU HESA Masters Program so far:
"I started at NYU three years ago as the assistant for the Skirball Department of Hebrew & Judaic Studies. Before that, I was doing legal work as I figured out if law school was the right path for me. When I realized that my passion was not for the law but for working with colleges and universities, I made the transition into higher education. When I learned that graduate study in higher education was a possibility, and that NYU had such a program, I jumped at the chance to enroll. NYU's program in Higher Education and Student Affairs has been a great complement to my practice as a higher education professional; the coursework provides a theoretical foundation that supports my day-to-day work in my office. I have greatly enjoyed working and learning with my colleagues in the program—especially my fellow part-timers—and I benefit from their insights and contributions both in and out of the classroom." Ryan is a second-year, part-time graduate student in the program. Keep a look out for our HESA Student of the Month for January!
